Data protection and privacy

I take your privacy very seriously and handle your personal data in confidence and in conformity with statutory data protection regulations and this data privacy statement.

General information

When you use this website, different items of personal data are collected. Personal data is data that can be used to personally identify you. The present data privacy statement explains which data is collected and what it is used for. It also explains how and for what purpose this is done.

Controller means the natural or legal person which, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of processing personal data (e.g. names, e-mail addresses and similar items of information).

Right to information, correction and deletion

You have the right to receive information at any time about your personal data stored by me. You also have the right to correction and deletion of your personal data unless statutory retention periods stand counter to this.

You can make modifications or corrections to your personal data or request deletion by notifying me in writing.

Revoking your consent to data processing

Many data processing operations are only allowed with your express consent. You can revoke your previously given consent at any time. To do so, it is sufficient to send an informal notification to me by e-mail. The legality of data processing up to the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Right to file complaints with the responsible data protection authority

In case of data privacy breaches, the person affected has a right to complain to the responsible supervisory authority. The supervisory authority that is responsible for data protection issues is the Federal Data Protection Officer of the federal state in which my company is located. Right to data portability

You have the right to ask me to send the data that is automatically processed based on your consent or in order to fulfil a contract to yourself or to a third party in a commonly used and machine-readable format. If you request that the data be transferred directly to another controller, this is only done to the extent that it is technically feasible.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer to store certain information such as the information that you do not want to be tracked by Matomo. The information generated by the cookies will not be passed on to third parties.

You can make specific settings in your browser to be informed about cookie placement and to allow cookies only in particular cases, to exclude cookie acceptance for particular cases or generally as well as to activate automatic deletion of cookies when the browser is closed. This website does not use so-called tracking or advertising cookies. It only uses cookies that are necessary for its operation and are therefore categorized as essential.

Server log files

The Internet provider automatically records and saves information in so-called server log files, which are automatically transferred to me. The information recorded relates to:

  • Browser type/version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL (the page previously visited)
  • Host name of the computer seeking access (IP address)
  • Time of server enquiry
  • IP address

The data is not aggregated with other data sources.

Contact form

If you submit inquiries to me via my contact form, the information provided in the contact form as well as any contact information provided therein will be stored by me in order to handle your inquiry and in the event that I have further questions. I will not share this information without your consent.

Thus, the processing of the data entered into the contact form is based exclusively on Article 6, paragraph 1 lit. (a) of the GDPR. You can revoke your previously given consent at any time. To do so, it is sufficient to send an informal notification to me by e-mail. The legality of data processing up to the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

The information you have entered into the contact form shall remain with me until you ask me to delete the data, revoke your consent to the archiving of data or if the purpose for which the information is being archived no longer exists (e.g., after I have concluded my response to your inquiry). This shall be without prejudice to any mandatory legal provisions, in particular retention periods.

Processing data (customer and contract data)

I collect, process and use your personal data only to the extent that it is required for the establishment, content design and change of the legal relationship (inventory data). This is based on Article 6, paragraph 1 lit. (b) of the GDPR, which permits data processing to fulfil a contract or in order to take steps prior to entering into a contract. I only collect, process and use personal data on the usage of this website (usage data) insofar as this is necessary to allow users to make use of this service.

The collected customer data is deleted when the order has been completed or the relationship has been terminated. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

Usage of Matomo

This website uses the open source software Matomo to evaluate visitor access. Cookies and device fingerprinting are deactivated in the Matomo version used on this website. That means, no cookies are stored on your computer for the purpose of analyzing your visits to this website and your visitors cannot be uniquely identified by means of usage profiles. However, your IP address is recorded and anonymized before being stored.

This analysis tool is used based on Article 6, paragraph 1 lit. (b) of the GDPR. I have a legitimate interest in analyzing the user behaviour to optimize my website.

If you do not agree to your anonymized data being stored and used, you can object to the collection of your data by Matomo on this website at any time with a single mouse click. In this case, a so-called opt-out cookie is stored in your browser, which has the effect of preventing Matomo from collecting any session data. Attention: If you delete your cookies, the opt-out cookie will also be deleted. When you visit this website again, you must reactivate the opt-out cookie.

Google fonts (hosted locally)

To ensure that fonts used on this website are uniform, this website uses fonts provided by Google. Since the fonts are installed locally, a connection to Google servers is not established.
